Badminton Federation of Armenia was founded in 1992 in Yerevan. Our Federation is a member of Badminton Europe Confederation (BEC) and the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Lilit Poghosyan was invited to participate at the BWF Female Coaches Mentorship Programme organised on Augustt 24-25 in Copenhagen, Denmark by Badminton World Federation (BWF) and supported by the International Olympic Committee's "Olympic Solidarity" Project.

Badminton is a one of the 13 sports in the program of the the Pan Armenian Games – a multi-sport event hosting competitors from the Armenian diaspora and Armenia. This year, Armenia hosted 7100 participants from 135 cities and 70 countries overall. The uniqueness of the Pan Armenian Games is that it is open to Armenian passport-holders and citizens of other countries who have Armenian descent. In addition, spouses of those of Armenian descent are also eligible to compete.

Lilit Poghosyan, Armenia’s U17 National Team coach, continues working towards the development and promotion of badminton in Armenia. Last Sunday, in Yerevan, Poghosyan organized a workshop called “Ready to play” focusing on the importance of basic motor skills in badminton. The workshop was organized through Badminton Europe’s “ADVANCE” badminton coaching education course and brought together twenty-two badminton enthusiasts from Armenia, eager to enhance their understanding and proficiency in badminton.
